New Virtual Hours & Curbside Service
Beginning the first week of June, the Larkspur Library will have new virtual hours. The Library will be answering emails and returning calls from Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Curbside Pick Up
Starting Tuesday, June 2, the Larkspur Library will begin to offer curbside pickup of library materials on hold by appointment. This is the first step towards the restoration of services.
Please note that wait times for holds placed online for items from other MARINet libraries may take longer than usual for pick up as we have a large backlog and not all MARINet Libraries are opening at the same time.
FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ)

Returned materials will be accepted at this time as well, however, materials will be quarantined for 72 hours (3 Days) prior to being checked in.
How does curbside pick-up work?
If a patron has an item on hold:
Patrons will be notified by email that their item on hold is available. Patrons will need to call (415) 927-5005 and schedule a time to pick up their holds during curbside pickup hours.
Items will be checked-out to patrons in advance and staged in a bag for your convenience and placed on a table under a canopy in the parking lot adjacent to the Children’s Room Entrance and Book Drops.

Library due dates have been extended to July. Please check your account for updates.
Can I drop off donated materials?
No. At this time the Larkspur Library is not accepting donations.
What safety measures are being taken for the public and staff?
We will be employing social distancing and public health recommendations for employees and patrons. This includes placing all returned items in quarantine for 72 hours (3 Days) and providing items in a bag for curbside pickup to reduce contact. We are also asking the public to wear masks when picking up library material and returning material. We are also providing all staff with PPE for their protection. Our re-opening plans have been vetted through the Marin Recovers.
When will all in-person library services and full public access to library facilities resume?
The short answer is: we don’t know yet. The longer answer is that the Library follows state and local public health guidelines for all operations. Conditions in the community may change, necessitating new public health orders that the library will comply with that may allow for expanded in-person service and use of facilities, or require increased social distancing measures. We are working to restore limited library services and access in a safe, coordinated, and phased effort and will continue to adjust and restore services where possible with safety in mind.
In addition to public health orders, the City of Larkspur is experiencing significant decreases in revenue due to the COVID-19 impact on our local economy. This will impact the Library’s operating hours as well as in-person services.
