Join Friends of Corte Madera Creek Watershed to improve wildlife habitat along Larkspur Creek at one of our older habitat enhancement projects. We’ll be working along a partly tidal reach of the creek reaching from Meadowood Drive to Doherty Drive, pulling French broom and digging fennel and thistles. More ambitious volunteers can attack non-native blackberries, acacias, and one medium-sized pampas grass. This will be moderately strenuous.
Friends will supply two weed wrenches and picks, but bring your favorite clippers and pruning saws. Dress in layers, wear sturdy shoes and heavy gloves, and bring a drinking water container. We’ll provide drinking water and light snacks.
Meet on Meadowood Drive where it crosses Larkspur Creek, near the east end of Ward Street. For information, contact Sandy at 415-456-5052 or info@friendsofcortemaderacreek.org. Please register with Sandy if you plan to attend. Rain cancels.
