Butterflies are some of the most beautiful and popular insects, and they are also fascinating creatures. This lecture will focus on the life stories of our local species, where to find them, how to identify them, and what you can do to share your garden with them. Presented by David Herlocker, an Interpretive Naturalist for Marin County Parks, and winner of the 2016 Terwilliger Environmental Award. Drawing from his 36 years of experience and interpretive skills, David has inspired countless people to find the “awesomeness” in local flora and fauna, and to become stewards of the environment.
