Fire

Posted on: June 9, 2015

[ARCHIVED] The following message is an important announcement from the Larkspur Fire Department:

The exercise is part of an ongoing effort to familiarize Marin fire agencies with our Larkspur neighborhoods that have the potential to be threatened by wildfire. Specific neighborhoods include:

1. The areas within and near Madrone Canyon.
2. The areas in the vicinity of and including Sycamore Avenue, Willow Avenue and Cedar Avenue.

We will make every attempt to minimize any inconvenience and we appreciate your understanding.

Also, please consider this message as a reminder to give your property a fighting chance to resist wildfire by creating and maintaining defensible space around your home. Trim overgrown vegetation, cut and remove dry grass and weeds and ensure that vegetation is not in contact with your house or decking. Give firefighters a chance by ensuring that your address is clearly visible from the street and access to your property is clear of overgrown vegetation.

Thank you for being fire-safe this summer.
