[ARCHIVED] All Types of Fireworks are Prohibited

Every year firefighters respond to people who sustain injuries from fireworks, We are also in the midst of a severe fire season with extremely dry conditions and the possibility that just one spark from fireworks could create a major wildland blaze.

EVEN SAFE AND SANE FIREWORKS ARE PROHIBITED IN ALL AREAS OF MARIN COUNTY.

Fire and Police Departments across Marin are warning people that this year the penalties have increased for sale and use of fireworks. State law recently increased fines for the use of illegal fireworks and even allows the State to suspend the Commercial Driver’s License of someone involved in the transportation of the illegal activity.

The best way to enjoy fireworks this year is to go the Marin County Fair, July 3 to July 7 at 9:30 p.m.
