On the evening of May 24,2012, the Second Annual Survivors’ Celebration was held in honor of those who have survived cardiac arrest and major trauma. Those San Rafael personnel recognized were Captain Eric MacAusland, Captain Jason Hatfield, Engineer Jason Schmitt, Firefighter/Paramedic Dave Cornell, Firefighter/Paramedic Justin Barrow, and Firefighter/Paramedic Chris Cooper for the care they rendered to Mr. Nakamura and Mr. Holsberry.

Larkspur Captain Gary Claeys and Firefighter Dennis Rutkowski were also honored
for assisting Mr. Loback, who while riding his bike, suffered a cardiac event and went into full arrest.
