  1. Summer Reading is Here! For Adults and Kids! Come Play!

    Come down to the Library and sign up for Summer Reading. New this year, we have Adult Summer Reading Bingo! The game starts Monday June 5 and runs through August 4, 2017. Turn your Summer Reads into Summer Fun with our Bookshelf Bingo Game. For Adults and teens ages 13 and up. Kids are invited to sign up for Larky’s Summer Reading Club which runs June 3 through August 5. Win prizes and enter our raffle for Giants tickets. We have a fantastic lineup of fun events for the children. On June 15, high energy duo Musical Robot will be here to kick off our summer reading program. Combining songs, storytelling, puppetry, and out of this world dance moves, Musical Robot is programmed for fun! On June 22, Wildcare’s Wildlife Ambassadors will be here to share information about the wild life that surrounds us! … and more summer fun to follow with storyteller Ane Carla Rovetta, Magician Timothy James, Circus of Smiles and Puppet Art Theater!

  2. Larkspur Library Presents: Share a Book with a Dog!

    Dogs who have been specially trained by the Marin Humane Society will be here to listen to children read. Wednesdays, from 6/13 to 7/25 at 4:00 PM (Not on 7/4). Reservations are required as space is limited. Please RSVP to or 415-927-5005.

  3. Larkspur Library Presents: The DeYoung Museum's Summer of Love Experience Art, Fashion, and Rock & Roll - Art Docent Talk

    Join us for a docent talk on the DeYoung Museum's current exhibit, Summer of Love Experience Art, Fashion, and Rock & Roll. It's a flashback to the Summer of Love, as they celebrate its 50th anniversary with an exhilarating display of iconic rock posters, photographs, interactive music and light shows, costumes and textiles, and avant-garde films. Art Docent Alfred Escoffier has an undergraduate degree from Stanford in Art History, and was the City Librarian for the town of Burlingame for 20 years. He is a graduate of the 2011/2012 Docent Class and does regular and special exhibition tours at the deYoung and the Legion of Honor museums.
